April 1rst 7:00 pm-Maundy Thursday Worship. Join us here at Main Street for communion and tennebrae service. Following the service through Friday morning Vigil in the Sanctuary. Sign up in the vestry for an hour or more to reflect. On Thursday April 1rst we worship together at 7 pm.  This service is a remembering of the Last Supper and the love Jesus shared with his followers. Following communion we tell the story of the betrayal and desertion as candles are extinguished and we are left in the dark. The service ends in silence and darkness. As Jesus awaited being arrested he asked his disciples, " can you not stay awake with me for one hour?" As contemporary followers of Jesus we hold a vigil and stay awake an hour at a time for the 12 hours following that service (8 pm-8 am). There is a sign up sheet in the vestry and we aske for 2 people to be present for each hour of the vigil. The vigil time can be used as you want for reading scripture, meditation, journaling, and silent prayer.
