Intentional Spiritual Community
Wednesdays, each week at 12:30-1:30pm in the Parish House
In the fullness of life it is easy to lose sight of the grace and love of God that is all around us. In the din of marketing and advertising it is easy to be lured into purchasing fullness of life. Our Intentional Spiritual Community is a group that sets time aside each week to be, as the name says, an intentional spiritual community. This gathering is designed to have a space to connect our daily walk with our spiritual values and traditions. It is a place to become more aware or and deepen our connections to God’s grace and love. It is a time to pay attention to God’s presence and how we are being guided and spoken to. It is a time to reflect on how the way of Jesus and the love of God influences/forms our actions, words and responses. It is an intentional spiritual community which recognizes that God is still speak and we seek to listen and respond not knowing what will happen. The group meets in the Parish House and Joan is a good person to ask for more information - or come on by.
A statistically not so valid survey done by our pastor finds that most people are certain that they know the least of any one about the Bible, about Christian tradition and practices, about most anything religious. Many people are sure they don’t believe “properly” and are hesitant to ask questions or express their doubts. The media and history inundate us with examples of religious people behaving badly. Because of all these truths we offer a variety of studies through out the year for adults to discover and be blessed as they connect more to God and let that infinite, unconditional love become more familiar and accessible. Stay tuned to hear what is coming up next or speak with Joan about areas of interest or desires to facilitate a study.
