Membership – Covenanting in Discipleship
There is no “one way” to have a faith journey, most journeys include steps of deepening commitment and faith growth. One way of making a commitment is by church membership. Membership in the church is a step along a faith journey – a time of covenant and commitment as one feels called to deepen their connection with the body of Christ.
Folks looking to know more about joining or who are ready to join contact our pastor or the church office to begin the process. Preparing for membership involves a gathering of folks looking to join with members of the church. This is a time to share the journeys that have brought us to this time and place and to learn more about the community of faith that is Main Street Church. Folks preparing to join also meet individually with our Pastor.
Folks formally join the church during a worship service where promises are made and support offered and God’s presence celebrated.
